
This article addresses the importance of social harmony in a multireligious community in a mountainous region, as reflected in interfaith interactions. This study aims to examine how interfaith interactions manifest in economic activities and daily social life in Gunungwungkal Subdistrict, Pati Regency, Central Java. The method used is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, aimed at gaining an in-depth understanding of the community’s social experiences. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of economic actors, community leaders, and residents of various faiths. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings illustrate that interfaith interactions occur harmoniously in various economic and social activities, such as trade in traditional markets, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), the sale and purchase of basic necessities in shops, as well as participation in local traditions such as sedekah bumi, kenduri, resik desa, and gotong royong. The conclusion is that social harmony in Gunungwungkal Subdistrict is formed through the integration of inclusive economic and cultural activities. Further research is recommended using a longitudinal approach that takes into account the influence of government policies and regional economic dynamics on the sustainability of interfaith harmony.
