Domesticidades disidentes en la ficción televisiva contemporánea

Abstract

¿Qué pasa cuando el sistema económico entra en crisis y descubrimos que esa domesticidad basada en narrativas neoliberales también se tambalea? El presente artículo explora representaciones de la domesticidad femenina en dos retoricas visuales y narrativas que parten de los medios de comunicación, separadas en el tiempo por un acontecimiento reciente crucial: la crisis de las hipotecas subprime y la intensificación de la crisis del capitalismo neoliberal. Se parte de las formas de representación visual y vital de lo femenino y del feminismo privilegiadas por los medios de comunicación bajo el neoliberalismo, según las acepciones del postfeminismo defendidas por Susan Faludi y Angela McRobbie. A lo largo del artículo se revisarán algunas prácticas disidentes en la construcción de la domesticidad de la serie GIRLS en relación a relatos postfeministas hegemónicos anteriores, ejemplificados aquí a través de la popular serie Sexo en Nueva York (SNY). Se considerará que las ficciones televisivas son retóricas ideológicas capaces de legitimar peligrosamente modelos de domesticidad, y consecuentemente relatos susceptibles de interés académico en el ámbito de la arquitectura.
