Abstract

Tanah reklamasi umumnya memiliki karakteristik kompresibilitas tinggi sehingga memerlukan perbaikan tanah untuk mempercepat proses konsolidasi. Penggunaan Prefabricated Vertical Drain (PVD) merupakan salah satu metode yang banyak diterapkan, namun proses instalasinya dapat menimbulkan zona terganggu (smear zone) yang memengaruhi kinerja drainase dan besarnya penurunan tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh smear zone terhadap prediksi penurunan konsolidasi serta membandingkan hasil pemodelan menggunakan Plaxis 2D dan Plaxis 3D pada tanah reklamasi. Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui pemodelan numerik berbasis metode elemen hingga dengan mempertimbangkan karakteristik smear zone pada beberapa tingkat kehalusan mesh, yaitu very coarse, coarse, medium, fine, dan very fine. Data lapangan berupa parameter tanah, konfigurasi PVD, dan hasil pengamatan penurunan digunakan sebagai dasar analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi mesh menghasilkan nilai penurunan yang bersifat fluktuatif dan tidak menunjukkan hubungan linier terhadap tingkat kehalusan mesh. Pemodelan Plaxis 3D menghasilkan prediksi penurunan yang lebih mendekati data lapangan dibandingkan Plaxis 2D. Dengan demikian, representasi tiga dimensi memberikan akurasi yang lebih baik dalam menganalisis pengaruh smear zone pada tanah reklamasi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan pemodelan tiga dimensi untuk evaluasi desain perbaikan tanah dengan PVD. Temuan penelitian dapat menjadi referensi bagi perencana dan praktisi geoteknik dalam meningkatkan keandalan prediksi penurunan tanah pada proyek reklamasi.
