This study explores the care experiences of a group of non-heterosexual men practicing BDSM in Mexico. In order to do this, this research proposes an investigation with an exploratory scope, in which nine BDSM practitioners participated. At first, a semi-structured interview was applied and a qualitative analysis organized by categories and topics was carried out. The analysis had three stages. At the begenning, the study selected the openly-coded significant fragments about the acts of care. Then, an axial codification was performed. Finally, a selective coding was carried out. The acts of care were classified into two broad categories: a) the moments of caring and b) the complexity of such acts. It is important to continue studying the ethical dimension of care in different BDSM practices.
