Procesos de desplazamiento idiosincrático

Abstract

El presente artículo aborda los procesos de construcción identitaria en contextos urbanos, analizando cómo las dinámicas socioespaciales, procesos de globalización y de gentrificación influyen en la conformación y protección del patrimonio material e inmaterial, así como en la transformación de la idiosincrasia local. Para esto se define la perspectiva desde la cual se tratan los términos de identidad urbana, relacionados al patrimonio y al sentido de pertenencia e idiosincrasia, destacando su transtemporalidad y el arraigo que produce sobre un territorio. Se analizarán sus alcances frente a prácticas y costumbres locales, para luego ponerlos en crisis frente a procesos de transformación territorial ligados a efectos morfológicos, demográficos, identitarios e idiosincráticos, tales como cambios normativos con mercantilización del suelo y gentrificación. Finalmente, el artículo invita a reflexionar sobre la implicancia que tienen los procesos de transformación territorial en la idiosincrasia y la identidad local, haciendo foco en las mecánicas de segregación resultantes en intervenciones sobre el territorio que peligren la idiosincrasia local.
