Impacto del entorno familiar en el rendimiento académico en adolescentes

Abstract

El entorno familiar juega un papel crucial en el desarrollo y rendimiento académico de los adolescentes. Factores como el apoyo emocional, la supervisión de las tareas escolares y el nivel educativo de los padres pueden influir significativamente en el desempeño académico. El objetivo de esta revisión sistemática es sintetizar la evidencia empírica sobre la influencia del entorno familiar en el rendimiento académico de adolescentes. Se realizó una búsqueda exhaustiva en bases de datos académicas como PubMed, Scopus y Google Scholar, utilizando términos clave como "entorno familiar", "rendimiento académico" y "adolescentes". Se incluyeron estudios publicados entre 2000 y 2023, que analizaran la relación entre el entorno familiar y el rendimiento académico en adolescentes de 12 a 18 años. De los 150 estudios identificados inicialmente, 35 cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. Los resultados indican que el apoyo emocional de los padres, la participación en actividades escolares, y un ambiente familiar estructurado y estable, se asocian positivamente con un mejor rendimiento académico. La disfunción familiar y la falta de supervisión se correlacionan con un rendimiento académico más bajo. La revisión resalta la importancia del entorno familiar en el rendimiento académico de los adolescentes.
