Teledentistry

Abstract

A branch of telemedicine known as teledentistry uses digital means of communication to offer dental services, consultation, and education from a distance. It includes using information technology (IT) to transmit personal health information over long distances, permitting doctors to evaluate, schedule, and monitor patients without requiring in-person visits. Real-time video conferencing, storing and forwarding dental records, picture transfer, remote patient monitoring, and mobile health applications are the key modalities of teledentistry
