Una prioridad de todo sistema educativo es promover el aprendizaje de todos los alumnos; es así que el presente artículo buscó identificar las características del perfil docente que se vinculan con el desarrollo de la habilidad para la creación de ambientes educativos inclusivos, en busca de establecer los elementos que deben ser tomados en cuenta para la creación de procesos de habilitación en esta área. El estudio se desarrolló bajo el paradigma cuantitativo con alcance correlacional y diseño no experimental; la población estuvo conformada por todos los profesores del subsistema de Telebachillerato de Yucatán, siendo que la muestra se determinó a través de un censo, consiguiéndose la participación de 550 docentes. Para la recolección de la información se construyó un cuestionario que indagó sobre características profesionales, así como personales y laborales de los participantes. Entre las principales conclusiones destaca que las características profesionales del perfil docente vinculadas con conocimientos y destrezas, son esenciales para la creación de ambientes educativos inclusivos, por lo que es necesaria la habilitación en materia de atención a la diversidad, a fin de sensibilizar y generar seguridad en las plantas académicas para transformar su práctica adaptándola a las necesidades y requerimientos de sus estudiantes. Palabras clave: Inclusión, perfil docente, diversidad. Abstract A priority of every educational system is to promote the learning of all students. Therefore, this article aimed to identify the characteristics of the teacher profile that are linked to the development of the ability to create inclusive educational environments, in order to establish the elements that ought to be considered for the creation of training processes in this area. The study was conducted under a quantitative paradigm with a correlational scope and non-experimental design. The population consisted of all teachers from the Telebachillerato subsystem of Yucatán, with the sample determined through a census, resulting in the participation of 550 teachers. To collect the data, a questionnaire was developed to explore the participants’ professional, personal, and work-related characteristics. Among the main conclusions, it stands out that the professional characteristics of the teacher profile related to knowledge and skills are essential for the creation of inclusive educational environments. Hence, training in diversity awareness is necessary to foster sensitivity and confidence in academic staff, enabling them to transform their practice and adapt it to the needs and requirements of their students.
