Experimento de fluorescencia en plantas

Abstract

En un artículo anterior de esta misma publicación se comentan los avances conseguidos en la producción de plantas bioluminiscentes mediante técnicas de ingeniería genética. El objetivo del estudio preliminar sobre la bioluminiscencia pretendía que un grupo de alumnos voluntarios examinara el fenómeno, recopilara información, formulara hipótesis y las comprobara en el laboratorio. Posteriormente debían extraer conclusiones siguiendo el método científico. Dado que la ingeniería genética requiere de numerosos conocimientos y recursos experimentales y económicos, se llevó a cabo un experimento más sencillo y accesible: ¿se volverán fluorescentes las plantas si se riegan con disoluciones fluorescentes? El proceso se plasmó en un informe y un vídeo que se presentó en un concurso denominado SAPIENCIA. Este artículo describe una parte del proyecto.
