This course aims to facilitate training for port State control officers (PSCOs) in accordance with the relevant IMO and International Labour Organization (ILO) instruments specified in Procedures for port State control, 2023 (resolution A.1185(33)), as amended. The course is designed to equip trainees with the knowledge, understanding and proficiency necessary to meet the qualification and training requirements of PSCOs. Tailored to the trainees’ experience levels, this course is a key resource to support consistent and effective implementation of port State control worldwide, contributing to enhanced maritime safety, security, and environmental protection.
