Los memes como discurso de odio

Abstract

La presente investigación propone un análisis de contenido y del discurso intermodal de los memes (n=191) alusivos a la ministra española de Igualdad, Irene Montero, con especial atención a la representación de la violencia. El odio aparece como una constante (90,8%) al ridiculizarse su vida personal y criticar su gestión política, con frecuencia, mediante insultos y comparaciones. Se confirma que el odio misógino ha permeado al meme demostrando su capacidad para interferir en la imagen pública de las mujeres, recurriendo a tropos y estrategias clásicas, como la deshumanización, la exposición de aspectos privados o el cuestionamiento del aspecto físico.
