The purpose of this communication is to carry out an analysis of the main situations that currently involve some type of restriction to the consumer within the common market, due to what is known as geographical blocking, placing special emphasis on the causes that bring this type of blocking as well as on the occasions in which the CJEU has ruled against it, thus delimiting this concept. In this way, an attempt will be made to limit the current framework of geographical blocking in the field of digital services offered within what is known as the digital single market.
