We report the first record of the freshwater snail Melanoides tuberculata on Rhodes Island, Greece. Empty shells were recorded in 2017 and 2021, followed by the observation of two live individuals in 2022, possibly indicating short-term survival and at least one overwintering event. Subsequent surveys revealed only shells, suggesting a transient or unsuccessful introduction rather than an established population. Seasonal hydrological instability may limit persistence. Continued monitoring is recommended.
