KARAKTERISTIK ALUMINIUM ALLOY 6001 PENGARUH PENGELASAN GTAW

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kekuatan tarik pada sambungan aluminium alloy 6001 melalui proses las GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) yang banyak digunakan pada sambungan rangka kendaraan ringan, seperti Gokar. Penelitian ini memperhatikan pengaruh sifat kelenturan aluminium yang digunakan banyak kendaraa ringan, termasuk jenis aluminium, teknik persiapan permukaan, logam pengisi yang digunakan, dan parameter pengelasan. Metode eksperimental dilakukan dengan mempersiapkan sampel aluminium alloy 6001, menjalankan proses las GTAW dengan parameter menguji kekuatan tarik sambungan. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan wawasan faktor yang mempengaruhi kekuatan tarik sambungan las GTAW pada aluminium. Implikasi dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan praktik pengelasan aluminium dan memastikan kualitas sambungan yang optimal dalam aplikasi teknik yang berbeda. Dari hasil pengujian tarik secara keseluruhan memenuhi syarat, karena sambungan las berada diatas kekuatan minimum yang disyaratkan berdasarkan ASME BPVC 2021 Section IX(1), QW 422 yaitu dengan kekuatan minimum 145 MPa
