Hubungan Pola Konsumsi Minuman Manis Terhadap Prediktor Sindrom Metabolik

Abstract

Sugar-Sweetened Beverage (SSB) didefinisikan sebagai minuman yang mengandung gula, seperti soda, jus buah, minuman berenergi, dan lainnya. Menurut WHO, meningkatnya konsumsi minuman manis atau Sugar-Sweetned Beverage (SSB) berkontribusi terhadap kenaikan kasus Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM) salah satunya adalah Sindrom Metabolik Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola konsumsi minuman manis dengan parameter Sindrom Metabolik yaitu lingkar perut, kadar kolesterol, dan tekanan darah pada Mahasiswa/I Prodi Akutansi Universitas Abulyatama. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan studi kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Data diperoleh dari data primer melalui Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questinnoaire (SQ-FFQ) untuk melihat konsumsi Sugar- Sweetned Beverage (SSB), pengukuran lingkar perut menggunakan meteran, pengukuran tekanan darah menggunakan tensimeter, serta Nesco lipid monitor sebagai pengukuran kadar kolesterol. Analisis Chi-square menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara pola konsumsi minuman manis dengan lingkar perut (P = 0,015), kadar kolesterol (P = 0,012), dan tekanan darah (P = 0,004). Responden dengan pola konsumsi minuman manis yang baik lebih cenderung memiliki lingkar perut, kadar kolesterol, dan tekanan darah dalam kategori normal. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengaturan frekuensi konsumsi minuman manis berperan penting dalam menjaga indikator Sindrom Metabolik terkait obesitas sentral, kolesterol, dan hipertensi.
