Uji Efikasi Ekstrak Etanol Bunga Elaeis Guineensis Jacq. Sebagai Biolarvasida Terhadap Larva Aedes Aegypti

Abstract

Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus dengue dan ditularkan melalui gigitan nyamuk Aedes aegypti dan Aedes albopictus. Salah satu metode pengendalian vektor DBD yang ramah lingkungan adalah dengan menggunakan insektisida nabati. Bunga kelapa sawit jantan (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) diketahui mengandung senyawa aktif seperti polifenol, flavonoid, terpenoid, steroid, kuinon, alkaloid, dan saponin yang berpotensi sebagai biolarvasida. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas ekstrak etanol bunga kelapa sawit jantan sebagai biolarvasida terhadap larva Aedes aegypti. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan 225 larva yang dibagi ke dalam tiga kelompok perlakuan: konsentrasi 12,5%, 25%, dan 50%. Pengamatan dilakukan selama 24 jam. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi 50% paling efektif, dengan tingkat kematian larva sebesar 25,3%. Analisis probit menunjukkan nilai LT50 sebesar 1817,44 menit (±75 jam) dan LT95 sebesar 3118,60 menit (±129 jam). Semakin tinggi konsentrasi yang digunakan, semakin tinggi tingkat mortalitas larva dan semakin singkat waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk mematikannya. Dengan demikian, ekstrak etanol bunga kelapa sawit jantan memiliki potensi sebagai alternatif larvasida alami dalam pengendalian vektor DBD.
