Racismo estrutural e sistema escravocrata no Brasil

Abstract

O presente artigo objetiva analisar como as condições de chegada ao Brasil dos negros escravizados, bem como a realidade enfrentada durante a escravatura e os óbices pós- liberdade, refletem até hoje na ocupação por eles de bons cargos no mercado de trabalho. Durante a escravização, esta população foi submetida a extrema violência física e psicológica, além de o acesso à educação e à terra serem negados. Posteriormente, a abolição da escravatura não garantiu direitos básicos, mantendo-os à margem da sociedade. Uma evidência concreta disso é o fato de os moradores da periferia serem negros em sua maioria. Esse exame exige aprofundamento teórico e empírico sobre a manutenção das desigualdades, mesmo com a edição de um arcabouço jurídico, cuja intenção foi promover a efetiva equidade racial no mundo do trabalho.
