Educação sexual e neoconservadorismo

Abstract

O presente artigo tem por objetivo investigar a influência neoconservadora na exclusão da temática de gênero e sexualidade da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC). Utilizando uma abordagem qualitativa e a metodologia de análise de conteúdo, este estudo busca compreender os movimentos e articulações político-culturais que disseminaram a chamada ideologia de gênero em detrimento do direito à educação de jovens e crianças. Para isso, são explorados os conceitos de neoconservadorismo, neoliberalismo, gênero e currículo, a fim de refletir sobre o retrocesso representado pela BNCC em relação a essas questões. Os resultados revelam um projeto de enfraquecimento do pensamento crítico e emancipatório na educação, promovido por grupos interessados na manutenção das desigualdades sociais, e na supressão de debates sobre gênero e sexualidade, essenciais para o progresso democrático por meio de políticas públicas inclusivas.
