Abstract

Este texto consiste em uma resenha do livro Capitalismo pandêmico, de autoria de Ricardo Antunes, publicado em 2022 pela editora Boitempo. O livro traz uma visão crítica a respeito das transformações ocorridas no capitalismo mundial, destacando o momento de pandemia da COVID-19. Diante disso, Antunes faz um retrato do capitalismo atual, contextualizado na pandemia, uma vez que ela contribuiu fortemente para intensificar e acelerar a precarização e o desemprego, em uma época marcada pela preocupação em preservar a vida e reinventar novos modos de vida e de trabalho. Além disso, o livro contempla outras transformações ocorridas no capitalismo, destacando-se a influência das tecnologias, configurando em uma nova forma de exploração e degradação do trabalho. Com uma visão atual e clara sobre as recentes transformações no mundo do trabalho, o livro é indicado para aqueles que estudam temas como o capitalismo contemporâneo, o mundo do trabalho e sua influência sobre a vida dos trabalhadores.
