Herencia Desigual y Arquitectura de la Estabilidad Financiera: Un Modelo Estructural Intergeneracional en Universitarios Mexicanos

Abstract

Antecedentes: La estabilidad financiera en estudiantes universitarios depende de factores heredados, condiciones materiales presentes y prácticas de gestión del dinero. Objetivo: Estimar las relaciones directas e indirectas entre capital heredado, nivel socioeconómico estructural, prácticas financieras y estabilidad financiera, e identificar si el tipo de secundaria (privada/pública) ejerce efectos causales. Método: Estudio cuantitativo, transversal (n=90). Se aplicaron modelos de ecuaciones estructurales (SEM/PLS-SEM) para evaluar rutas y mediaciones, y un análisis contrafactual mediante IPTW (Inverse Probability of Treatment Weighting) para estimar efectos promedio del tratamiento. Resultados: El capital heredado mostró un efecto directo significativo sobre la estabilidad financiera (β=0.341; IC 95%: 0.042–0.652). Ni el nivel socioeconómico actual ni las prácticas financieras alcanzaron efectos robustos, aunque su dirección fue coherente. El tratamiento “secundaria privada” no presentó efectos significativos (ATE = -0.118; IC 95%: -0.368, 0.126). Conclusiones: La estabilidad financiera emerge como un fenómeno multicausal y socialmente situado. El capital heredado pesa, pero no determina; las prácticas y condiciones actuales aportan matices que requieren mediciones más finas y diseños longitudinales. Se proponen intervenciones educativas que democraticen recursos culturales y habilidades financieras.
