Análisis del Impacto de la Inestabilidad Energética sobre el Desarrollo Económico y Social en El Empalme, Ecuador (2024)

Abstract

La presente investigación analiza el impacto de la inestabilidad energética en el desarrollo económico y social del cantón El Empalme durante el año 2024. Se emplea un enfoque mixto, que combina métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos, para identificar los principales problemas asociados al suministro eléctrico en la región, como los cortes frecuentes de energía y la insuficiente capacidad de la infraestructura. Los resultados evidencian que esta inestabilidad afecta negativamente la productividad de sectores clave como la agricultura, el comercio y la industria, limitando la generación de ingresos y profundizando las desigualdades sociales. Asimismo, se destacan consecuencias sociales como la reducción en la calidad de vida de los habitantes y el acceso desigual a servicios básicos. La investigación propone soluciones basadas en la diversificación de la matriz energética mediante la implementación de fuentes renovables, como la solar y la eólica, y enfatiza la necesidad de políticas públicas efectivas y de una participación activa de actores locales y privados. Se concluye que una transición energética sostenible no solo garantizará un suministro estable, sino que también contribuirá al desarrollo económico y social, fortaleciendo la resiliencia de la región frente a desafíos futuros.
