Características Epidemiológicas de la Tuberculosis Extrapulmonar

Abstract

Antecedentes: La tuberculosis es una enfermedad altamente contagiosa y es prevalente en países subdesarrollados, según la organización mundial de la salud (OMS), esta enfermedad se define por la localización anatómica en la que se encuentre localizada. Metodología: Se realizó una revisión sistemática a través de diversas bases de datos desde el año 2017 al año 2021; la búsqueda y selección de artículos fue llevada a cabo en revistas indexadas en idioma inglés y español. Se utilizaron como palabras clave: tuberculosis, extrapulmonar, características, epidemiológicas. Resultados: Las principales características epidemiológicas tienen como objetivo cuantificar la evolución dentro de determinado rango de tiempo la Tuberculosis extrapulmonar dentro de determinada área o población geográfica. Conclusión: Los pacientes diagnosticados con tuberculosis extrapulmonar puede presentar diferentes manifestaciones clínicas dependiendo del lugar donde se haya proliferado la tuberculosis, aun así, no difiere del contexto epidemiológico a nivel global.
