Stereotaktična radioterapija

Abstract

Stereotaktična radioterapija telesa je visoko natančna, neinvazivna in slikovno vodena oblika hipofrakcionirane radioterapije, pri kateri tumorsko tkivo obsevamo z visokimi dozami v nizkem številu obsevalnih odmerkov ali frakcij (1–8). Če je odmerek le en, stereotaktično radioterapijo telesa imenujemo tudi stereotaktična radiokirurgija. Klinična uporaba in indikacije za stereotaktično obsevanje so se v zadnjih dveh desetletjih močno povečale. Stereotaktična radioterapija telesa je primerna za zdravljenje majhnih solidnih tumorjev, predvsem kadar gre za neoperabilne tumorje, bolnik operacijo zavrača oz. zanjo ni primeren. Odločitev za zdravljenje s to metodo je vedno postavljena na multidisciplinarnem konziliju, nanjo vplivajo bolnikove pridružene bolezni, predvideno nadaljnje sistemsko zdravljenje, bližina zdravih kritičnih organov ter breme raka. Z razvojem in uvajanjem novih tehnik obsevanja in slikovne diagnostike je v prihodnosti pričakovati nove indikacije za tovrstno zdravljenje. Stereotaktična radioterapija telesa se je do sedaj izkazala za učinkovito in varno metodo zdravljenja, z dobro lokalno kontrolo bolezni in malo neželenimi učinki.
