Secador solar automatizado

Abstract

Como una propuesta alineada a los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible (ODS) principalmente el 2 Hambre cero (meta 2.4), 7 Energía asequible y no contaminante (meta 7.3.a), 11 Ciudades y comunidades sostenibles (meta 11.6) y, principalmente, el 12 Producción y consumo responsable (metas 12.3 y 12.5); se ha venido trabajando en el diseño y construcción de un secador solar automatizado para el aprovechamiento de los excedentes de la producción agrícola. Al momento se cuenta con dos versiones: la primera realizada en madera y una más en acero inoxidable de tipo alimentario. Su funcionamiento se basa en el movimiento heliotrópico del girasol, desplazándose de manera autónoma y/o por medio de la aplicación móvil, al tiempo que guarda registros sobre temperatura, humedad y radiación. El prototipo tiene una capacidad aproximada de 3 kilos de producto rebanado, que se deshidrata entre 5 y 10 horas dependiendo de su nivel de humedad, la temperatura y la radiación ambiental. Actualmente se trabaja en la optimización de su funcionamiento, en la parte mecánica y termodinámica buscando una mayor eficiencia, que facilite su manejo a los productores agrícolas de manera de abatir costos, diversificar su oferta y beneficiar a la población de la región con una nueva opción de alimentos nutritivos, de calidad y de fácil conservación con precios razonables y disminuyendo así la pérdida de alimentos y la contaminación ambiental generada por los desechos agrícolas.
