Abstract

Los perros ferales (Canis lupus familiaris) pueden causar varios problemas como la depredación de especies nativas y competencia con otras especies El impacto de estos está relacionado con distintas variables, entre las cuales están la abundancia relativa, el uso de cobertura y los patrones de actividad, por lo cual en el presente estudio mediante fototrampeo se evaluó la abundancia relativa, uso de coberturas (Arbustal denso vs Herbáceo - arbustal abierto) y patrones de actividad de los perros ferales y otros mamíferos en el PNN Chingaza durante los meses de septiembre y octubre. Se emplearon 20 cámaras trampa (Bushnell Trophy Cam HD) en dos tipos de hábitat, 6 en Arbustal denso y 14 Herbáceo - arbustal abierto, se obtuvieron en total 133 fotos positivas correspondientes a 6 especies de mamíferos: Canis lupus familiaris, Cuniculus taczanowskii, Didelphis albiventris, Nasua nasua, Odocoileus virginianus y Tremarctos ornatus. Se confirmó la presencia de perros ferales (Canis lupus familiaris) en la cobertura arbustiva densa, la cual puede estar relacionada con la presencia de un mayor número de presas potenciales en esta cobertura. Además se observaron patrones de actividad diurnos y crepusculares, los cuales pueden estar influenciados por la mayor actividad diurna que presenta Odocoileus virginianus. Por último, no se encontró un efecto directo de Canis lupus familiaris sobre los mamíferos registrados durante el estudio, sin embargo puede estar ocurriendo depredación de los perros sobre Odocoileus virginianus debido al sobrelapamiento de sus patrones de actividad y uso de cobertura. ; Feral dogs (Canis lupus familiaris) can cause several problems like predation of native species and competition with other species The impact of these is related to different variables, among which are the relative abundance, the use of coverage and activity patterns.
