U S. Army, Fort Dix, New Jersey, at the site of a proposed Central Tactical Vehicle Wash Facility. The U. S. Army has slated one structure on the property, Building 8432, for demolition. No potentially significant resources were identified and no further archaeological survey is recommended. The purpose of the architectural component o f the survey was to examine Building 8432 and make recommendations for a determination of eligibility for listing on the National Register of Historic Places and for Pinelands Designation. Building 8432 does not possess architectural or engineering significance and as such is not eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places or for Pinelands Designation. The building did not play a significant role in the military or civilian history of the United States, and did not play a significant role in the local history of Fort Dix.
