Abstract

RESUMEN: El uso de injertos oseos en la medicina tradicional es una excelente opcion para la reparacion y/o regeneracion de defectos oseos, ya que proporcionan estabilidad mecanica y restauran el sistema musculo-esqueletico cuando este ha sufrido algun tipo de dano debido a alguna patologia (congenita o adquirida) o a traumatismos. Este trabajo, consistio en determinar las correlaciones en el comportamiento viscoelastico de un tejido oseo trabecular porcino proveniente del condilo femoral distal antes y despues de someter el tejido a un proceso de descelularizacion. Dicho proceso de descelularizacion fue realizado mediante procedimientos existentes en la literatura para materiales con aplicaciones clinicas, obteniendose asi un andamio que puede ser usado como xenoinjerto. Se realizo un analisis morfometrico, el objetivo fue determinar si el material cumplia con los requerimientos de dimensiones para ser utilizado como xenoinjerto en pacientes humanos. Posteriormente, se realizaron pruebas de nanoindentacion, la finalidad fue evaluar las diferencias en el comportamiento viscoelastico antes y despues de retirar la matriz organica, por lo que se tomaron en consideracion caracteristicas como: el coeficiente de rigidez, la dureza del material, el modulo de Young y el creep. Como resultado se obtuvieron datos bajo distintos indices de carga y descarga mediante ensayos de nanoindentacion, los cuales permitieron evaluar las diferencias mecanicas entre ambos materiales. De manera general los resultados muestran que la descelularizacion influye directamente en las propiedades viscoelasticas del material. Sin embargo, el material obtenido cumple con los requerimientos mecanicos para ser utilizado como andamio, favoreciendo asi la osteoconduccion.
