Abstract

RESUMEN: Se elaboraron briquetas con biomasa de cascaras de cacao, cafe y trigo adicionando dos aglutinantes organicos, la melaza y la cascara de papa, luego se evaluo el poder calorifico. La metodologia consistio en realizar 6 modelos de briquetas con diferente composicion de biomasa y a diferentes granulometrias, buscando las proporciones optimas y con las mejores caracteristicas energeticas. La composicion optima de biomasa y aglutinantes para la briqueta de cascara de cacao fue 53% en peso de cascarilla de cacao a malla menor a 2mm y 47% de aglutinantes (melaza y cascara de papa), obteniendose un valor de poder calorico de 9909.59 Kcal/Kg; en el caso de briquetas de cafe, el optimo de composicion fue de 71% en peso de cascarilla de cafe a malla menor a 1mm, con 29% en peso de aglutinante (melaza y cascara de papa), obteniendose un poder calorico de 9912.81 Kcal/Kg; para la briqueta de trigo, la composicion optima resulto ser el 26% en peso de cascarilla de trigo a malla mayor a 2mm con el 74% de aglutinante (melaza y cascara de papa) y se obtuvo un poder calorifico de 9928.11 Kcal/Kg. De estos resultados se determina que el uso de biomasa con aglutinantes naturales es una alternativa ecologica para la obtencion de briquetas con buenas caracteristicas de poder calorifico, dandole un soporte de ventaja social por ser una alternativa para obtener energia de bajo coste ademas de reducir residuos organicos de las industrias de cafe, cacao y cultivo de trigo que generalmente son descartados.
