Abstract

En la IQS School of Engineering se han implementado practicas que acercan al alumno al entorno industrial mediante situaciones lo mas reales posibles. Estas acciones estan en coherencia con la adaptacion al Espacio Europeo de Educacion Superior (EEES), con una marcada orientacion hacia el aprendizaje practico en lugar de la maestria clasica basada en sesiones magistrales. En este articulo se describe una experiencia realizada desde el Area de Resistencia de Materiales y Estructuras para los estudios de Grado de Ingenieria en Tecnologias Industriales, y en concreto para la asignatura de Mecanica de Materiales. La fase previa de busqueda de informacion y aprendizaje de dos de los analisis estructurales mas relevantes del Metodo de Elementos Finitos (FEM), como son el analisis modal de frecuencias y modos propios de vibracion, y el analisis no lineal elastoplastico, conjuntamente con los calculos y ensayos realizados sobre una consola central de un automovil, hacen de esta experiencia un buen ejercicio activo de aprendizaje de ingenieria mecanica para el alumno.
