The main idea of the thesis is to adapt the classic linear predictive control to Takagi Sugeno fuzzy models. It has taken advantage of the particular structure of these fuzzy models to develop new applications adapting the robust control by LMIs to fuzzy systems. In these contributions the main idea is to design controllers that are valid for any shape of membership functions for a finite horizon. This design philosophy has been called shape-independent one. In addition, the design of a controller that stabilizes a system in the largest region possible, and the adaptation of iterative techniques of nolineal predictive control, as well as considerations about the theory of invariant sets in order to obtain feasible/terminals. All this has been based on copositive programming, this problem has been approached via application of Polya's theorem.
