Abstract

Esta asignatura pretende poner en valor la significación de las llamadas artes decorativas, que engloban parcelas como la platería, la rejería, los textiles, el mobiliario etc... Manifestaciones artisticas que deben ser estudiadas en profundidad ya que tuvieron una particular significación a lo largo de la historia vinculadas a las élites sociales y a lo religioso. Para ello se ha dispuesto un recorrido por los principales periodos, acompañando de las obras más significativas de cada momento así como de los grandes maestros que las hicieron posible. Sin olvidar lo referido al oficio, la organización del trabajo, los materiales, las técnicas, los repertorios ornamentales.
