Abstract

Bu çalışma, Orta Asya ve Türk halklarının tarihi, kültürü ve maneviyatını tanıma açısından önemli bir yere sahip Sovyet oryantalist-Türkolog, Türk dili, edebiyatı, folkloru ve Türk tarihi uzmanı Vladimir Aleksandroviç Gordlevski’nin (1876-1956) Hoca Ahmed Yesevi isimli makalesinin çevirisinden oluşmaktadır. V.A. Gordlevskiy, Türk dili, tarihi, etnografyası, folkloru ve Türkiye edebiyatı üzerine birçok Türkiye gezileri sırasında incelemeye başladığı üç yüze yakın eserin müellifidir. Yazarın makalelerinin çoğu bilimsel değere sahip olmasına rağmen henüz yayınlanmamıştır. Çevirisi yapılan makale, Gordlevski’nin Türkistan’a yaptığı yolculuğunda elde ettiği bilgiler ve Ahmet Yesevi, mescit, tekke ve halvethane hakkındaki gözlemleri ve literatürde yer alan bilgilerin harmanından oluşmaktadır. Yazara göre zamanın dar ve bilgilerin yetersizliği nedeniyle yazdıkları eksik ve kopuktur.
