Abstract

Objetivo: este artigo analisa a adoção do sistema de fluxo contínuo por revistas brasileiras de Ciência da Informação indexadas no Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), no contexto do acesso aberto. Metodologia: caracterizado como uma pesquisa exploratória, descritiva e de natureza qualitativa, o estudo identifica as revistas que operam sob esse modelo e examina as tendências dessa prática editorial. Resultado: em 28 de maio de 2024, o DOAJ listou 20.438 revistas, das quais 23 foram identificadas sob o termo “Science Information”. Os resultados revelam que 17 dessas revistas adotam o sistema de fluxo contínuo, enquanto 6 mantêm modelos tradicionais de publicação. Considerações finais: a análise aponta para uma tendência crescente na adoção do fluxo contínuo no Brasil, refletindo mudanças nas práticas editoriais e na dinâmica de comunicação científica. O estudo contribui para a discussão sobre as vantagens e os desafios desse modelo, bem como seu impacto na disseminação do conhecimento.
