SURDEZ E ESTRANHAMENTO: UMA PERSPECTIVA PSICANALÍTICA

Abstract

Ao longo da história, até os dias atuais, os Surdos, como grupos minoritários, sofreram e ainda sofrem com a imposição da hegemonia ouvinte. Apesar disso, lutam pelos seus direitos e reconhecimento como grupo cultural. O presente artigo visa a debater o tema da Surdez desde uma perspectiva psicanalítica. Para tanto, discute-se o viés da surdez como deficiência e da Surdez como diferença cultural articulados com a noção freudiana de Unheimlich – estranho e infamiliar. Considerando os Surdos como estrangeiros na própria pátria, exploramos a estrangeiridade e as tensões entre os diferentes, tomando como referência freudiana a noção de narcisismo das pequenas diferenças. Por fim, propomos uma atitude hospitaleira, trazendo para discussão a noção de hospitalidade proposta por Derrida.
