Programa social comunitario y su efectividad en la reducción del rezago escolar de infantes y adolescentes

Abstract

El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar la efectividad del programa social gubernamental PILARES en el rezago escolar y la calidad de vida de infantes y adolescentes del Estado de Hidalgo. La investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, de alcance explicativo y un diseño cuasi experimental pretest-postest con grupo de contraste. Participaron 32 menores de entre 8 y 13 años, divididos en dos grupos: el de intervención, conformado por usuarios activos del programa, y el de contraste, perteneciente a la comunidad. Para la recolección de datos se emplearon registros sociodemográficos y del rendimiento académico, así como un instrumento ex profeso diseñado para evaluar cuatro ejes: motivación escolar, hábitos de estudio, bienestar emocional y desarrollo social. Los resultados evidenciaron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en el rendimiento académico de los participantes tras su ingreso al programa, con una mejora en sus calificaciones escolares. Asimismo, los tutores del grupo de intervención identificaron avances en los cuatro ejes del desarrollo social y del bienestar de los menores, en contraste con los de la comunidad. De este modo, se concluye que el programa PILARES constituye una red de apoyo comunitaria que fortalece el desarrollo académico y psicosocial de infantes y adolescentes en contextos de vulnerabilidad socioeducativa.
