Monitorización continua de glucosa y calidad de vida en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 1

Abstract

Objetivos. Analizar si existen diferencias en la percepción de la calidad de vida en función de que se utilice un monitor continuo de glucosa ó el método clásico de glucemia capilar en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 1. Así como describir los efectos de la monitorización continua de glucosa sobre cada una de las dimensiones de la calidad de vida y analizar si otros factores como el sexo, edad o tiempo de evolución de la diabetes mellitus tipo 1 influyen en la percepción de la calidad de vida. Método. Se realizará un estudio de tipo analítico observacional de casos-control. La población diana serán personas diagnosticadas de diabetes mellitus tipo 1. La población a estudio serían los pacientes diagnosticados de diabetes mellitus tipo 1, que acuden a revisión en el servicio de endocrinología y nutrición del Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias. La recogida de datos se realizará a través del cuestionario ViDa1 específico para evaluar la calidad de vida en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 1. Las variables principales del estudio son la relación entre el uso de monitor continuo de glucosa y la calidad de vida en los pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 1. Se incluyen variables sociodemográficas y biomédicas como secundarias.
