Quando o sofrimento é não suportar o sofrimento

Abstract

O autor diferencia dois estados mentais em que um deles sente dor, mas não a sofre, e outro que suporta sofrê-la e, portanto, pensá-la. As dores sofridas são consideradas dores de/da vida, pelo próprio fato de vivê-la. As dores sentidas carecem de simbolização por falhas de um vínculo pensante com cuida-dores em que a função alfa (Bion) não ocorre em condições suficientes para produzir transformações do sentir em direção ao sofrer as dores de-vidas. As adicções são formas instantâneas de anestesiar a dor não suportada, a dor não transformada, a dor dis-pensada. Um caso clínico é apresentado para ilustrar uma forma adicta de anestesiar a dor. O autor também propõe pensarmos, como possíveis adições, o envolvimento intenso e extenso dos psicanalistas com a psicanálise, ocupando tempos e espaços de outras atividades, incluindo as de lazer, que poderiam interagir de forma criativa com as funções especificamente psicanalíticas.
