Abstract

都市近郊で観測された地電位データには人工ノイズが多く含まれる.ノイズ除去のために参照信号を使うリモートリファレンス処理はデータの質を飛躍的に改善するが,少なくとも一カ所遠隔地で並行観測が必要になる.参照データがない場合,多変量解析手法がしばしば使われる.本稿では,多変量解析の一手法である独立成分分析(ICA)をノイズの大きい地電位データに適用し,微弱な信号の分離を試みた.独立成分分析は多変量データを相互に統計的に独立で非正規な特性を持つ信号に分離する手法である.野島断層での注水実験で得られた地電位データにICAを適用したところ,注水に同期した微弱な地電位変化を分離できた.地電位並行観測データを使った以前の解析や主成分分析の結果に比べて,分離された信号は注水の圧力や流量の変化に良く対応していた.ICAはノイズの大きな環境下で計測された地電データから微弱な信号を分離できる有効なツールになる可能性が示された.
