Tomando como ponto de partida a análise de aspectos da obra de Jhones Silva – um artífice de ruídos de Belford Roxo, Baixada Fluminense (Rio de Janeiro, Brasil) –, este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a frase enunciada pelo artista em entrevista e aqui usada como título. Investiga também algumas de suas práticas quanto à possibilidade de uma concepção especificamente brasileira de “ruído”, além da relação entre ruído sonoro e suas dimensões técnicas e políticas. AbstractTaking as a starting point the analysis of aspects of Jhones Silva work – a noise maker from Belford Roxo, Baixada Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil –, this article aims to analyze a sentence uttered by the artist in an interview and used here as title, investigating some of his practices regarding the possibility of an specifically Brazilian conception of “noise” and also the relationship between sound noise and its technical and political dimensions.
