
Objetivo: O presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a influência da prática do exercício físico na dismenorreia primária. Método: Revisão Sistemática sem metanálise, de todos os artigos publicados nas bases de literatura National Library of Medicine (Pubmed), Biblioteca Vitual em Saúde (BVS) e Web Of Science utilizando os descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS) da BVS, Exercise AND Dysmenorrhea. Os estudos publicados foram elegíveis ao atenderem aos seguintes critérios: (1) texto completo gratuito; (2) estudos com humanos; (3) estudos dos últimos 5 anos; (4) artigos originais; (5) artigos disponíveis; (6) artigos com DOI; (7) estudos que relacionaram ou associaram exercício/atividade física com dismenorreia primária. Resultados: Dos 470 artigos encontrados, 23 preencheram os critérios de inclusão. Exercícios aeróbicos leves, moderados e de alta intensidade, alongamentos e relaxamentos progressivos contribuíram para a melhora significativa no tratamento e alívio da DP. Conclusão: Os exercícios físicos têm influência positiva no tratamento e alívio da dismenorreia primária. Praticados de forma regular, são eficazes nos primeiros ciclos menstruais após o início da intervenção e resultados ainda mais significativos são percebidos a longo prazo.
