Pengaruh Adversity Quotient Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Matematika

Abstract

Penentu prestasi belajar siswa bukan hanya IQ saja. Salah satu faktornya adalah Adversity Quotient (AQ). Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai deskripsi Adversity Quotient (AQ) siswa dan besar pengaruhnya terhadap prestasi belajar matematika pada siswa tingkat MTs. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana dengan populasinya yaitu seluruh siswa MTs kelas VII di dua MTs wilayah Kabupaten Kudus. Melalui teknik simple random sampling, terpilih sejumlah 72 siswa kelas VII di dua MTs wilayah Kabupaten Kudus sebagai sampel penelitian. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui dokumentasi, angket, serta tes yang selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif untuk menggambarkan bagaimana AQ siswa dan dilanjutkan dengan uji regresi linier sederhana yang digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh AQ terhadap prestasi belajar. Dari hasil analisis data, diketahui bahwa paling banyak siswa memiliki AQ dengan kategori cukup tinggi, yaitu sebanyak 40,28%. Berdasarkan uji regresi linier sederhana disimpulkan bahwa AQ berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matematika dengan nilai koefisien determinasi 0,650 yang artinya persentase sumbangan pengaruh AQ terhadap prestasi belajar matematika sebesar 65,0% dan sisanya dipengaruhi variabel lain yang tidak dimasukkan pada model ini.
