Adensamento de plantio em pessegueiros ‘Chimarrita’

Abstract

A produtividade média do pessegueiro no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul é de apenas 9,8 t ha-1, sendo a menor produtividade dentre os seis principais estados produtores brasileiros. Um dos fatores que pode contribuir decisivamente para o aumento da produtividade é o adensamento de plantio. Objetivou-se, neste trabalho, estudar a viabilidade técnica do adensamento de plantio em pessegueiros ‘Chimarrita’, nas condições edafoclimáticas de Pelotas-RS. No campo e sem irrigação, foram testados cinco espaçamentos entre plantas: 6,3 x 1,0 m (1.587 pl. ha-1), 6,3 x 1,5 m (1.058 pl. ha-1), 6,3 x 2,0 m (794 pl. ha-1), 6,3 x 2,5 m (635 pl. ha-1) e 6,3 x 3,0 m (529 pl. ha-1), sob delineamento em blocos ao acaso com quatro repetições. Conclui-se que os espaçamentos testados não influenciam a massa, o diâmetro transversal e longitudinal dos frutos, assim como o diâmetro do tronco, a área da secção do tronco e a eficiência produtiva. Entretanto, o adensamento de plantio de 6,3 x 3,0 m para 6,3 x 1,0 m ou 6,3 x 1,5 m promove significativos incrementos na produtividade acumulada nos primeiros quatro anos de produção. O adensamento de plantio em pessegueiros ‘Chimarrita’ apresenta viabilidade técnica nas condições edafoclimáticas de Pelotas-RS e recomenda-se os espaçamentos de 6,3 x 1,0 m ou 6,3 x 1,5 m.
