PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR KIMIA ELEKTROLISIS

Abstract

Based on the writer teaching experience in SMAS PGRI Pelaihari the writer found some problems dealing with subject electrolysis by low value of the Minimum Completeness Criteria on the first semester in 2020. This is caused by the teaching method using lecture method and does not involve students in learning. The completion of the Problem Based Learning model is an effort by teachers to improve the learning outcomes of chemistry subjects learners. This research is a classroom action study that aims to improve learning outcomes in Reaction Rate Chemistry subjects through the Problem Based Learning Model. The subjects of this study were students of class XII MIPA SMAS PGRI Pelaihari as many as 30 students. The implementation of this study divided by 3 (three) cycles. Minimum Completeness Criteria for chemistry subjects for learners is 75. The practical work method with STEAM approach. Data collections is conducted using observation and evaluation techniques at the end of each cycle. The results of this study show that with the application of Problem Based Learning Model can increase the subjects learners. In cycle I the average value of 56 with a completion of 46%, the average value in cycle II increased to 76 with a completion of 66% and in cycle III the average value reached 90 and the completion reached 100%.
