Abstract

El presente estudio se enfocó en evaluar la capacidad de descomposición de residuos vegetales en respuesta a la acción metabólica de Trichoderma harzianum y un consorcio bacteriano (Lactococcus, Enterococcus, Streptococcus, Pediococcus y Lactobacilli) y de los factores asociados a esta sobre la producción de compost para lo cual se estableció un ensayo con cuatro tratamientos basado en uso de microrganismos mencionados frente a un testigo. Se realizó cuatro repeticiones por tratamiento en un diseño completo al azar donde se evaluó las propiedades físicas químicas como pH, peso humedad, relación carbono-nitrógeno, olor, color además de la relación beneficio costo. Del análisis funcional a los 75 y 90 días de ensayo, para pH y peso presentaron diferencias altamente significativas, en tanto que para humedad no se detectó significancia estadística. Por otra parte, la relación carbono-nitrógeno del tratamiento consorcio bacteriano registró la mayor relación con 30.78 a los 75 días y 32.05 a los 90 días. Finalmente, del análisis económico se deduce que el tratamiento consorcio bacteriano fue el que alcanzó la mayor relación Beneficio Costo de 1.46 es decir que por cada dólar invertido y recuperado se gana 0.46 dólares.
