La comunidad sorda LGBT: una aproximación interseccional

Abstract

Las personas sordas LGBT enfrentan una doble discriminación por discapacidad auditiva y orientación sexual/identidad de género, agravada por barreras sociales, culturales y laborales. El objetivo fue analizar la realidad interseccional de este colectivo, enfocando la construcción de su identidad, relaciones con entornos próximos y el rol del trabajo social. Se llevó a cabo un estudio cualitativo fenomenológico-hermenéutico con seis participantes mediante un muestreo por bola de nieve. Se emplearon cuestionarios sociodemográficos, entrevistas semiestructuradas en Lengua de Signos Española y la técnica Photovoice. Los resultados mostraron la construcción de una identidad en contextos de discriminación normalizada en la infancia/juventud, así como la existencia de relaciones familiares y sociales basadas en el apoyo y el rechazo. Además, aparecen las diferentes barreras laborales y asociativas que hacen frente por su condición y una percepción positiva del trabajo social. Las conclusiones apuntan hacia la configuración de la identidad de estas personas en un marco donde el capacitismo y la LGBT-fobia generan experiencias de exclusión únicas.
