The aim of this article is to study the rate of crack growth due to the presence of holes made for the union of components. Stress intensity factors (SIFs) will be numerically calculated using the finite element method for the mechanical problem of linear elastic fracture. The procedure involves estimating the SIFs to predict the growth of fatigue cracks under a flat state of tension. Fatigue analysis will be performed considering the Paris Law and the direction of crack growth by the theory of maximum circumferential stress.
