Derecho humano al agua y saneamiento

Abstract

La obra analiza el derecho humano al agua y al saneamiento desde una perspectiva crítica y sustentada en evidencia, integrando las percepciones de estudiantes universitarios para comprender qué conocen, qué desconocen y qué desafíos identifican en torno a este derecho fundamental. El estudio va más allá del diagnóstico: contextualiza los problemas, examina sus causas estructurales y plantea interrogantes orientados a fortalecer la investigación, las políticas públicas y la formación ciudadana. Las aportaciones del libro se articulan con las prioridades establecidas por los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible –especialmente los ODS 3 y 6– y con los Programas Nacionales Estratégicos (PRONACES) de la Secretaría de Ciencia, Humanidades, Tecnología e Innovación (SECIHTI), en los ámbitos de agua, sustentabilidad, medio ambiente, justicia y desarrollo social; la vinculación permite identificar brechas, visibilizar vacíos institucionales y proponer rutas que pueden traducirse en mejor gestión y en políticas públicas más equitativas. Al reunir análisis, evidencias y reflexiones orientadas a la acción, esta obra contribuye al debate académico y a la toma de decisiones en un contexto nacional marcado por necesidades hídricas, su principal valor radica en mostrar el agua y el saneamiento no solo como servicios esenciales, sino como derechos cuyo cumplimiento requiere transformaciones institucionales, participación social informada y un compromiso sostenido con la justicia hídrica.
