Avaliação da qualidade da oferta de percursos pedestres sinalizados no Norte de Portugal

Abstract

O pedestrianismo tem vindo a afirmar-se como uma atividade de lazer e turismo particularmente significativa para o desenvolvimento sustentável de destinos naturais e rurais. Como tal, esta investigação tem como objetivo central a avaliação da qualidade da oferta de percursos pedestres sinalizados no Norte de Portugal. A partir de uma metodologia quantitativa aplicou-se uma matriz diagnóstico, , permitindo a avaliação de um conjunto de atributos inerentes à prática do pedestrianismo. Assim, 185 trilhos pedestres foram avaliados por diferentes atores locais, procedendo-se a análise estatística multivariada. Os resultados obtidos permitem afirmar que as NUTS III que compõe a região Norte de Portugal possuem diferentes níveis de qualidade face ao pedestrianismo.
