Maturidade fisiológica de sementes de<i> Podocarpus lambertii</i> Klotzsch.

Abstract

Com o objetivo de estudar a maturidade fisiológica coletaram-se sementes de Podocarpus lambertii Kl. em uma floresta nativa, localizada na Fazenda Vista Alegre, São Sepé, RS. A colheita foi semanal e efetuada a partir do momento em que as sementes se encontravam desenvolvidas e consistentes, persistindo esse procedimento até a queda total das mesmas. As sementes foram analisadas através do seu teor de umidade, peso de matéria seca e percentagem de germinação. Os resultados indicaram que: a) a maturidade ocorre quando a percentagem de umidade da semente atinge índice mais baixo (32%) e índice mais elevado de peso de matéria seca (17,68 g/100 sementes) e; b) a percentagem de umidade pode ser considerada como o melhor parâmetro para determinar a maturidade fisiológica das sementes de Podocarpus lambertii Kl.
