Gümüş Nanopartiküllerinin Antioksidan Etkisi

Abstract

Nanoteknolojinin son yıllarda hızlı bir şekilde ilerlemesiyle birlikte metal iyonları organik birçok bileşiğe bağlanarak bunların biyokimyasal özellikleri incelenmeye başlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda kullanılan yaygın metallerden biri de gümüştür. Gümüş Atomları çeşitli tuzları kullanılarak antioksidan, antidiyabetik ve antimikrobiyal etkileri bulunan organik moleküllere bağlandırılarak oluşturulan nanopartiküllerin yukarda bahsedilen özelliklerin artırılıp artırılmadığı veya daha iyi sonuçlar verip vermediği kontrol edilmektedir. Antioksidanlar vücudumuzda oksidatif stres adı verilen faaliyetlerin zararlı sonuçlarını engellemek adına kullanılan enzim veya moleküllerdir. Oksidatif stres reaktif oksijen türlerinin vücudumuzdaki biyomoleküllerle reaksiyona girmesi sonucunda bunların yapısını bozmasıyla gerçekleşen olaylardır. Vücudumuzda bunları engellemek amacıyla kullanılan enzim veya moleküllerin oluşturduğu sistemli yapı antioksidan savunma sistemi olarak adlandırılır.
